Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Transfer Initiative

The HBCU Transfer Initiative is a partnership between Cuyahoga Community College, the United Negro College Fund and the Cleveland Council of Black Colleges Alumni Association. Students are urged to complete their associate degree at Tri-C and move directly into their junior year at an HBCU.

Partnering colleges/universities include:

  • Allen University
  • Benedict College
  • Bennett College
  • Huston-Tillotson University
  • St. Augustine's University
  • Wilberforce University

Students majoring in most areas can also earn credits through the project’s dual enrollment component, which allows for the seamless transfer of credits.

Save thousands of dollars by beginning your coursework in high school or at Cuyahoga Community College. Call 216-987-3260 to learn more.
