Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) has many scholarship opportunities available to students, including merit-based awards for students who excel in the classroom, as well as awards to participate on Tri-C athletic teams, to serve on Student Government and focused on success and completion. Please pay careful attention to information provided below about scholarship eligibility requirements. For example, some scholarship opportunities may only be available for students who have not yet earned a post-secondary degree at any level. Other scholarship opportunities may only be available to students seeking certification through a workforce development program.

To apply for Tri-C scholarship opportunities, complete the online admissions application, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the online Tri-C scholarship application. Students should include the federal student aid code for Tri-C: 003040.

Students should have at least a 2.0 GPA or high cumulative GPA and be enrolled in at least six credits per semester for the entire scholarship period.

Some scholarships may require an additional application. These are noted in the criteria at tri-c.edu/scholarships. Notification of award will be sent to students via email.

Tri-C also provides Workforce Training Scholarships to help students pay for programs offered through Tri-C's Workforce, Community and Economic Development Division. These scholarships help cover a portion of program tuition costs. However, it does do not cover fees, books, supplies or associated materials. Students should complete the online Workforce Scholarship Request Form. Contact your program manager to ensure all eligibility requirements are met.

Applications are reviewed weekly, and award letters are sent no sooner than one month before classes start. Funds are applied to student accounts after training begins.

Students receiving a Tri-C Foundation Scholarship or a Workforce Training Scholarship are asked to submit a thank you letter addressed to the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation.

Total scholarship awards may not exceed the cost of attendance as determined by federal regulations and will be considered with all other financial aid received.

Disclaimer: Current Tri-C employees are not eligible to apply for scholarships.
