Learn the fundamentals of taking great photos with your DSLR and/or mirrorless camera. You can now apply the understanding of the camera settings and functions from Camera Basics 1 to capture high-quality images. Focusing on the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO, you will no longer need to set your camera to auto to create beautiful images. Learning to understand light, composition and techniques in shooting a variety of subjects will make you a better photographer. Introduction to composition styles, such as the rule of thirds, shallow depth of field and framing your subject, will help you in the creative process. We will explore the many types of photography that you can experiment with. This in-person introductory class provides a simple guide to understanding how to navigate through the interface of the Adobe Lightroom Classic software program. This powerful program is the digital version of the darkroom. We will focus on the basic features for organizing, editing and exporting images. We will walk through the basic adjustment panels and learn how to help your images be the best they can be. You can bring along your laptop, a memory card of RAW images and a card reader, or just follow along and take notes. Please remember to bring your laptop to class with Adobe Lightroom Classic software installed. This course offers students an engaging introduction to the art and craft of glassmaking. Students will explore the fundamental techniques of fusing, gaining hands-on experience in creating functional and artistic glass pieces. The class emphasizes safety and design principles, encouraging students to develop their creativity and technical skills. No prior experience is necessary; all skill levels are welcome. By the end of the three-hour class, students will have produced their own unique glass artworks and gained a deeper appreciation for this ancient yet continually evolving medium.  Note: Glass artworks created during this class will be taken to the instructor's studio to be fired in a kiln. The instructor will return all completed pieces to Corporate College East (CCE) for pick-up a week after the class concludes. Students are responsible for picking up their artwork at CCE during that time.
