Students must be currently working in a registered apprenticeship program in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training. A four-year apprenticeship prepares students to work in Roofing and Waterproofing industry. The first three years of the apprenticeship will be a mix of classroom learning and skills practice in the shop and on the job training, and the fourth and final year will be 100% on the job training. Safety is a critical focus and students will learn how to properly recognize and address hazards in the workplace

Program Admissions Requirements
- Minimum of 30 days/240 hours working on roofs with a roofing contractor
- 18 years old
- HS Diploma/equivalent recommended
- Application to Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee and acceptance to rank numbered eligibility list/Intent to Hire agreement with participating contractor.
Program Outcomes
- Self-start and work independently on a roofing job.
- Install all the components of various roofing systems, including steep slope roofs, built-up roofs, single-ply roofs.
- Follow all roofing safety protocols without supervision, including checking for site hazards.
- Operate various types of equipment needed for roof installations.
- Estimate the amount of materials needed for a roofing installation.
- Earn Roofer’s Journeyman certification.
