The RN to BSN Completion Program is intended for registered nurses who are seeking to further their education to achieve a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Coursework focuses on holistic nursing, nursing informatics and data-driven care, evidence-based and safe nursing practices, collaborative nursing practices, community and global health nursing; as well as, healthcare policy, leadership, and ethics in nursing. The program also offers the students the opportunity to pursue one of three specialty tracks: Nursing Education, Nursing/Business Management, or Nursing Informatics. The program culminates in a Capstone experience in which students will engage in a project-based learning experience.
This program is designed to be completed in a fully online format. Students must have graduated from an accredited pre-licensure nursing program and hold a valid, unencumbered, U.S. RN license.
Admissions Requirements:
Associate of Applied Science in Nursing which includes 15 credits of general education coursework. Below are the expected courses to have been completed at the Associate’s degree level:
- ENG-1010 College Composition I
- ENG-1020 College Composition II
- MATH-1410 Elementary Probability and Statistics I
- PSY-1010 General Psychology or PSY-101H Honors General Psychology or another 3 credits of Ohio Transfer 36 approved Social and Behavioral Science coursework.
- 3 credits Ohio Transfer 36 coursework.
Students who did not complete these courses as part of their associate's degree can still be admitted to the program. ENG-1020 College Composition II and MATH-1410 Elementary Probability and Statistics are required for completion of the BSN program and would fulfill the open OT36 elective credits should a student need to take them as part of their BSN program.
