About: At the start of every paralegal class, Mardy Chaplin tells students, “Yes, I am your instructor. Yes, I am an attorney. But, more than anything, I am a strawberry farmer."
He further explains that a farmer only grows strawberries for one reason — to obtain the highest possible price for the grown strawberries. He then says, “The reason why Mardy Chaplin instructs paralegal students is to bring to market paralegal students so that they can command the highest possible price.” Chaplin makes it his business to know the legal market, what the legal profession wants in a paralegal, and how to instruct paralegal students so legal employers get what they want.
