There are fundamental principles and ideas that are universally applicable to all supply chains. Throughout history, supply chains have consistently integrated technology to enhance their efficiency and overall performance. The advent of Industry 4.0 technologies has played a pivotal role in connecting previously distinct processes, offering a more transparent and comprehensible perspective across the entire organization. Yet the effective implementation of processes across a supply chain requires integrating the technology across various systems. This work-based certification program delves into the significance of technology and the applications of information systems that underpin the support of supply chain and logistics operations. It provides students with a preliminary understanding of fundamental concepts and terminology, laying the groundwork for them to gradually amass proficiency in the methodologies, technologies and competencies imperative for embarking on a career as an entry-level professional in supply chain or logistics management. The competences attained will aid students in their preparation for the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) and CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF ) Certification examinations. The certifications are in-demand industry recognized credentials that distinguish one as a knowledgeable industry professional.
