Program description

Completion of the program prepares you for a job in the electric power utility industry. PSI is a unique two-year program that combines hands-on utility skills training at a FirstEnergy Corp. facility in Brooklyn with technical coursework taught in Tri-C classrooms. The program includes an internship during the first- and second-year terms. Graduates earn an Associate of Technical Studies degree that can lead to a career as a line or substation worker.

Program cost

FirstEnergy pays the tuition and associated fees and book costs for students accepted into the selective-admission program.

Financial aid eligibility

This program is Federal Financial Aid/PELL eligible for those that qualify.

Upon completion students receive

Associate of Technical Studies degree in Electric Utility Technology
